Senior Cyber Security Analyst (IRC68586E)
We are currently seeking applications for a Senior Cyber Security Analyst within the Cyber Security and Defence branch based at Saughton House in Edinburgh. This is a permanent and pensionable appointment and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced ICT professional to join the Scottish Government Cyber Security and Defence (CSD) team. The role will be within the CSD Cyber Security team.
The CSD team are responsible for protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information and information systems used by the Scottish Government and associated bodies.
Applicants must have an ICT Security/Cyber Security qualification or at least 2 years of relevant ICT industry experience.
You must hold or be willing and eligible to obtain NSV Security Check (SC) clearance once in post.
Other qualifications equivalent to these may also be acceptable, if you are in any doubt please contact to discuss.

1. Demonstrate experience of working in an IT or ideally a Cyber Security role.
2. Experience of Network or System Administration.
3. A proven track record in troubleshooting complex ICT issues.
4. The ability to analyse, interpret and apply complex technical information.
