ASC Connections are currently recruiting for an EMEA Print and Paper Commodity Manager for Avon. The role is based at their head office and is commutable from Northampton and all surrounding areas.
Your primary purpose will be to ensure that the company?s brochures are sourced in an efficient and cost-effective manner. You will also be expected to create and sustain a competitive advantage to help contribute to the company?s profitability.
Main responsibilities:
? To develop and submit EMEA sourcing strategies for brochure print and paper (114m spent).
? You will be required to gain approval from VP global sourcing and key stakeholders.
? Contribute to the development of category strategies.
? Take control of tactical sourcing activities including supply market screening demand analysis supplier selection and contract negotiation.
? Evaluate supplier performance and establish sources for new technologies in new markets.
? Responsible for establishing an ongoing supplier performance measurement program.
? Deliver targeted cost savings year on year against agreed plan.
Candidate requirements:
? 3+ years of professional experience within a major professional services management role.
? Advanced problem solving and decision making abilities.
? An in-depth working knowledge of the specified category
? Have experience working within a manufacturing/FMCG background.
? CIPS qualified.
