The key responsibilities for this job role are:
Proficient with existing stock control system to achieve on time monthly output plan.
Maintain the existing stock control system and create/update product cards to ensure output target is achieved.
Liaise directly with suppliers building strong working relationships and driving quality cost delivery and reporting (QCDR) to achieve maximum results.
Clear objectives in terms of cost reductions and quality standards.
Identify opportunities to reduce business costs and shape a better way of doing things.
Accountability for all product and supplier administration accuracy.
Accountability of all purchasing processes and systems.
Review maintain and re-negotiate supplier contracts.
Experienced buyer from a strong purchasing and supply chain background.
In-depth knowledge of stock control systems.
Working knowledge of terms and conditions of purchase best practice.
Proven record of effective cost reduction initiatives is essential.
Ability to work well within a changing team environment.
First rate communication and negotiations skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
