Futures Life Skills Centre Co-ordinator

Salary Range: £30-£35K; for working 37 hours per week. A flexible approach to work will be required.

Chailey Heritage School is a Charity with a national reputation for excellence of which we are very proud. We work with children and young people with complex physical disabilities and health needs and we are unique in the way we integrate education with residential care and NHS therapy/health services.

We have expanded our provision to offer an exciting transition service for young adults aged between 19 and 25 yrs - Futures@Chailey Heritage. This involves a significant new build Life Skills Centre which will provide a stimulating and inclusive environment where young adults are empowered to make choices and decisions about all areas of their lives and where firm foundations are built for the future. We will offer a unique collection of resources and activities (eg gym caf ICT suite living skills area) all designed for those with physical & learning disabilities.

We need someone to lead on setting up the Life Skills Centre which will include the recruitment of staff and procurement of resources to ensure that everything is ready for the opening in February 2013. You will have excellent management skills recent relevant experience of financially managing a small business and the ability to look at the wider implications of setting up a resource for young people with disability.
